Leaving an organization or transferring ownership
Leave an organization you no longer work with, or hand ownership to someone else. Every organization always keeps at least one Owner.

Leave an organization
If you belong to several organizations, switch to the one you want to leave (Switch organization at the top of the portal).
Open Team. Under Danger zone, select Leave organization and confirm with Leave organization.
Leaving removes your access immediately. An Owner or Admin can invite you again.
Transfer ownership
On the Team page, open the actions menu on the new owner's row and select Make owner and step down….
In Transfer ownership?, confirm with Make owner and step down. They become an Owner and you become an Admin in the same step.
Tip
Want to stay an Owner too? Use Change role… to make them an Owner instead: organizations can have several Owners.
Important
With single sign-on & roles on, people from your tenant are managed in Entra, including you: the Team page says “Your access comes from an Entra ID app role.” Ask your Entra admin to change or remove your assignment (how it works).
Troubleshooting
“You're the only owner”
Make someone else an Owner first (Make owner and step down… or Change role…), then leave.
I want to close the whole organization
Contact us. Cancel any subscription first (Cancelling).
